Vanessa Brown

 

One of the great thrills of working at a big coverage station like KVEG in Las Vegas in the late 80s was the call-in line. More than once, I was surprised to answer it and find on the other end someone I had heard about all my life and there they were talking to me and listening to the show. Late one night in 1989, Vanessa Brown called me from her home in the Hollywood Hills. She had been a "B" movie star and I had seen her work on lots of TV shows in the 60s and 70s. I was saddened to find out recently that she passed away at home in California on May 21, 1999.
